About

Purchase Department is responsible for procurement of goods, which includes furniture & fixtures, raw material, spares, instruments, machinery, equipment, vehicles, medicines, accessories etc. The department is also responsible for procurement of services such as canteen, transport, laundry, Tata sky, various AMC, CMC required to operate the organization effectively. The department is responsible and accountable to bring efficiency, economy and transparency in matters relating to public procurement and for fair and equitable treatment of suppliers and promotion of competition in public procurement. Based on the needs of the organization, the department streamlines its procurement process to guard against demand-supply hurdles.
The department strives to provide efficient service to the institute by way of arranging seamless and timely procurement and distribution of quality materials to various user departments.

The services provided by the department include:

1. The department is procuring various goods and services through GeM.
2. The department is conducting Material Management Committee regularly for procurement of goods and services for various user departments.
3. The department is also procuring urgent requirements through Local Purchase Committee to meet out the urgent needs of user departments.
4. Total orders generated from HBCH & MPMMCC through NRC module was worth Rs. 34.13 Crore (3,218 orders) & RC module is Rs.10,87 Corers (892 orders) (Total 45 Crores).
5. In the year 2022 approx. 130 Tenders were floated (39-Single Tender, 44- Open Tenders 47- Limited Tenders).
6. Total 183 new vendors have been registered in the year 2022.
