About

The institute library serves as the creative and innovative centre. The main motto of the library is to support the teaching, learning, and research activities of the institution, and fulfil the academic need of faculty members, residents, research fellows, staff, and students to meet the mission of medical excellence. The library has quite a good number of hard-bound and electronic books, journals, magazines, newspapers, and other items in the field of medical science which fulfill the teaching and research needs of the users. It plays a significant role in the development and progress of research work in the area of medical sciences especially in cancer research. The professionally trained, committed, experienced, and cooperative staff of the library adds extra value to its services. This is one of the liveliest places of the institute. The library supports users with digitalization, internet access, and other contemporary information sources for updation. Overall, both libraries are expanding in both manners like magnitude and substance.

Remote Access Facility (MyLOFT app) – Allows users to access, organize, and share resources on their smartphone/electronic gadgets during 24x7 hours from anywhere.
Computerized Circulation Service - issue-return available for all the register's patrons.
WEB-OPAC Service - Koha-based online public access to resources provided within campus only.
SDI/Document Delivery Service - Full-text article provided as per the demand.
Reading Area Facility - A peaceful reading hall with ergonomically designed tables and chairs.
Computer Cell Facility - Accessing various e-resources.
Digital Library Platform/ Website Facility – Koha-based official website contains all the information in an integrated platform.
Internet Access/ Wi-Fi Facility.
Open Access Facility - Full-text access of subscribed titles has also been provided to the faculty and students through campus-net.
New Arrival Service – The list of new arrivals (books & periodicals) is sent to the community through email and also displayed on the notice board.
The library offers different Orientation/Training Programs and workshops for new entrants.
