About

The department plays a pivotal role in the day-to-day IT related functioning of Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya Cancer Centre and Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital, Varanasi. The department is responsible for all IT-related activities, like managing internet and intranet connectivity and providing access to the latest technological advancements through web-based applications to all the users of MPMMCC/HBCH. The department has been successful in bringing about significant change in the working environment at both hospitals through its commitment to upgrading technology infrastructure through application software support-design and develop software and maintenance of Hospital Information Management System.

The services provided by the department include:

The department is responsible for maintaining computer systems, email accounts, internet connectivity, Wi-Fi services, printing, photocopying facilities, software & Hardware systems etc. for all the users of MPMMCC/HBCH.
We have National Knowledge Network (NKN) Internet services at both the centres. NKN is a project of the National Informatic Centre (NIC), MeitY, Government of India, for providing reliable Internet links at no cost to all government institutions.
Installed of smart VC setups in conference rooms, which enable teaching as well as smooth meetings.
As a part of regulatory compliance, we have also implemented the Aadhar-enabled biometric attendance system and live CCTV feed to the National Medical Commissions India command centre in New Delhi.
Other services are In-house software development, data management, information security management & technical support and services.
